Abbey Gate College 5-3 The Grange
An entertaining, end-to-end game of football saw Abbey Gate College come out deserved winners, with both teams creating numerous chances throughout.
The home team were behind early on, to a quick break-away and slick finish, but Ewan coolly slotted home the equaliser.
The tie turned on two quick-fire finishes from Fabian: the first a fantastic 30 yard lob, followed by a powerful finish from the edge of the box. Ewan also scored from close range to extend the lead.
Half time 4-1.
The second half was a more even affair as the AGC Team increased the lead with another goal from Ewan.
The Grange never gave up and scored two goals in reply to narrow the margin.
Excellent defending from George and Sam and a couple of fantastic saves from Toby in goal helped secure a deserved win and a trip to Blacon in the next round.
Well done to the both teams for an excellent afternoon of football!
