Year 12 Lake District Residential Sees Students Reach High
Published on 2nd October 2023
A couple of weeks ago our Year 12 students made a trip North to spend three days on the shores of Derwentwater. Students took part in a range of outdoor and adventurous activities including Rock Climbing, Monster Paddleboard, Via Ferrata, Climb the Mine & the people’s favourite; Ghyll Scrambling.
Staying at Derwentwater Independent Hostel students enjoyed (!) being independent, making their own beds, doing some of their own washing up as well as some general tidying.
The evenings saw team building activities (involving lots of sweets), a little game of prize bingo (following strict bingo etiquette) and some well-deserved down time with friends, old and new.
It was great to see our Year 12 students roll up their sleeves and get into the spirit of things, making the most of the excellent activities provided by Keswick Extreme and pushing themselves thoroughly beyond their comfort zones.
