‘The College U14 and U15 Rugby squads have both been in action over the last couple of weeks with season openers against Fallibroome Academy in Macclesfield.

Our U15 team played with great spirit and determination but found themselves outplayed by a well drilled and physical Fallibroome team.

Our U14 team produced an outstanding display to get the season underway with a win. The opening exchanges were very evenly balanced but it was the Abbey Gate College team who played with great physicality to gain the upper hand. On the stroke of half time Charlie W opened the scoring after some more expansive play.

The second half saw a spirited Fallibroome revival fended off by some hard hitting tackling led by Gabe G, Harry H and Bryce C. Louis W and Seb H scored the only tries of the half to put the score out of our hosts’ reach.
