Our annual Wellbeing Day was held on April 20 this year, with a host of exciting and diverse subjects and experiences for the students. During Wellbeing Day each year group spend two lessons ‘off timetable’.
Our Year 13 Heads of School team, with support from the House Captains, did a great job of putting together a package of sessions that aligned beautifully with our three College agencies – Self, Service and Sustainability:
This year the various activities included:
Year 7 worked with our gardeners in glorious Spring sunshine, relocating rose bushes, weeding and planting a herbaceous border in our formal gardens as well as a Mindfulness session with Mrs McLaren
Years 8 and 9 had sessions, delivered by Mrs Sanders, on body image as well as lively matches of football rounders on the All Weather Pitch.
Years 10 and 11 were presented with sessions on managing exam stress, plus sessions on the dangers of vaping and making health choices with Dr Matt.
Year 12 and 13 were also presented with the sessions on managing exam stress, with their second session about student finance and budgeting.
It was a really valuable and enriching day of all students, who came away with new life skills.
