Upper Sixth student Alex, who is Head of our Service agency, writes about donations for the Infant and Junior School Harvest Festival:
At Abbey Gate College, we have a long history and tradition at the Infant and Junior School of the Harvest Festival. This is a traditional festival that acknowledges all the lovely things that we have in our lives and shows all the students that we are extremely fortunate and some others in the local area are not so lucky.
In support of this, each year the Infant and Junior School collects donations from the students that then go straight to the West Cheshire Food Bank. Every year, the generosity makes a huge difference to so many people’s lives in West Cheshire.
This year we would like to increase the impact that we have on so many people’s lives and we are asking for your support and generosity to boost the amount that we are able to donate to the West Cheshire Food Bank.
The Food Bank has provided a list of items that would be beneficial as well as a shopping list that can be found following the link.
From the 26th September we will be accepting donations to your child’s Form Tutor, with a deadline of the 3rd October. Last year the Food Bank was overwhelmed by the generosity and this year we are hoping to be able to donate even more than previously.
Thank you for your generosity and your support to the wonderful Harvest Festival.
Yours sincerely
Alex Stewart
Head of Service
