Students from Year 9 & 10 competed at a sunny Connah’s Quay athletics stadium in the Senior Chester & District Athletics Championships yesterday, in much, much better weather conditions than the recent ISA North Championships!

A notable achievement in triple jump with both Ben C And Louis W wining the boys’ Triple Jump competitions.

There were other first place successes, with strong field event performances, from Year 9 Seb H in the High Jump, Bryce C in Shot Putt and Year 10 Ava R in the Discus.

All winners will now go through to represent Chester at the Cheshire County Athletics at Ellesmere Port Stadium on Saturday 10 June 2023.

In addition, the College team had first 3 podium finishes for Year 10 Joseph H in the 400m, Year 9 Oliver F placing second in 100m and second place in Hurdles for Year 9 Charlie C.

Year 10 Zara J came second in the Long  Jump and also placed third in the 100m final.

 The Y10 girls relay team were also a credible third in the final.
