Senior School Chester and District Cross Country Round-Up

The Chester and District Cross County Championships have been taking place over the last two weeks, with action for both the Abbey Gate College Girls and Boys Senior School pupils.
The Junior category race is for years 7, 8 and 9, who race a 3km course.
The Intermediate category race sees Year 10 and 11 pupils run a 4km course.
The first event was for girls from years 8 and 9 in the Junior category event, with a superb effort from all who competed.
Congratulations to Emma who has been selected to represent Chester in the next round of the Girls’ competition. We wish you all the best at the County Championships!
This week, the boys’ event took place, and seven boys from years 8 and 9 took part in the Junior category race. Four of these athletes finished in the top 20 competitors in the race.
In the Intermediate event, a special mention for 2nd place finisher Zac and 5th place Rufus – well done both on a terrific effort!
