Mrs Garcia-Estrada, teacher of Science at our Senior School, recently attended a North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) volunteer celebration event.
On days away from College and some weekends, Mrs Garcia-Estrada volunteers as Community First Responder for the NWAS attending life threatening Cat 1 and 2 999 calls.
She was nominated by her team at NWAS to attend the celebration event which took place in late June.
Mrs Garcia-Estrada also runs basic life support (CPR) and defibrillator confidence building sessions in the community. She also delivered one of these session to staff at the College during the last inset day.
NWAS is a huge organisation with volunteers from all walks of life and a cause definitely worth celebrating, as is Mrs Garcia-Estrada’s dedication and commitment.
Congratulations and thank you!
