Year 7B Football Tournament – A Combined Success for Pupil Players and Leaders

This week Abbey Gate College hosted a football tournament, where six of Chester and District schools attended
The Year 7 team enjoyed their first tournament – five games of all action football with some great goals and saves.
This saw a number of the team increase their match day experiences for future games.
The results of two wins, two losses and a draw were a fantastic effort by all.

On a separate note, well done to our Year 9 referees who managed their first experiences of decision making under pressure really well.

Our Sixth Form subject ambassadors also supported the smooth running of the tournament, with Ffion and Amy taking on the task of timekeeping and coordinating the results.
Finally, our Manager on the day Zac did a great job of motivating and directing our young hopefuls.
