Abbey Gate College Welcomes English Roses Netballer, Jade Clarke

On Sunday 10 September some of our Y7-10 pupils experienced a fantastic day with England Roses Netballer Jade Clarke at a Netball Camp which was led by Furyan Sports Management, here at Abbey Gate College.
The students took part in a range of workshops throughout the day, which included:
Strength and Conditioning,
Nutrition and Wellbeing
Netball Skills session
The sessions were led by Jade Clarke herself!
Post lunch break, Jade ran a question and answer session which gave the girls an insight into what it is like to be a professional sportsperson and heard about her experiences at the recent Netball World Cup in Cape Town, where the Roses secured the Silver medal after a gutting defeat against Australia, who they had beaten in the group stages only a week before!
So much was learnt and gained from the day which the students will be able to apply to on and off the court throughout the coming season.
A huge thanks to Furyan Sports Management for organising and delivering the camp. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another day of fun-filled activities soon.
