Last week four students from years 9-11 were entered into a competition set by The Royal Society of Chemistry as part of Chemistry Week. The event was hosted by Liverpool University and led by Dr Washburn.
Our team, consisting of Olivia, Charlotte, Tahlia and Anita, competed against 19 other highly academic schools in a series of Chemistry Challenges where they had to:
Our students were enthusiastic, hard-working and worked very well together. We are very proud of their efforts in representing the College in an outstanding fashion. Dr Washburn had the following to say of the students who competed over the two days:
“The students were exceptionally well-behaved during the competition. The standard of posters and the tests was exceptional and it made for a very competitive couple of days. Well done to all the students.”
