Abbey Gate College pupil, Henry Kitchen has been chosen to sing the much-loved classic ‘Walking in the Air’ from The Snowman at Chester Cathedral this December.

The Cathedral chorister will perform the iconic solo at the screening of the animated tale, accompanied by a live orchestra.

The 11-year-old singer is guaranteed a packed audience as the performances have become a family festive favourite and are always a sell-out.

Mr Andrews, Head of Music at Abbey Gate College, said: “Henry has an excellent voice and is a very valuable member of the school’s Chapel Choir. Music is an important part of school life at Abbey Gate College and performance opportunities such as this are recognised as a hugely valuable experience.”

Henry will be performing on Friday 20th December at 7.30pm and Saturday 21st December at 11.30am and 5.45pm.
