The beginning of the new school year couldn’t have started better for the College dressage riders. The team, comprising Ellie Jones, Mimi Jones & Tabatha Foster-Smith, took part in a schools competition held at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre. Both Ellie and Tabatha won their classes and the team were the overall winners meaning they qualified for the Schools Championships.
Two weeks later, at local venue South View Equestrian Centre, Tabatha competed as an individual entry in the dressage and placed a very respectable 4th out of 24 competitors.
Equally, the College show jumpers have had an impressive start to the season. The team, comprising Jemima Young, Tom Huyton Holloway, Tess Walley and Amber Kinsey, also had a very successful day finishing 2nd out of 9 teams. They too have qualified for the Schools Championships. In an outstanding individual performance, Jemima finished 6th out of 40 competitors – itself a brilliant achievement.
We look forward to further reports as the season progresses.
