Abbey Gate College Athletes Beat the Weather at the ISA North Athletics Championships

Early in May our Senior School athletes competed in the ISA North Athletics Championships in what can only be described as abysmal weather conditions.
Not only was the day trying for the students, our staff had to navigate mini buses in torrential rain and dreadful conditions on the way to the event, as well as jumping in to assist the ISA officials due to the conditions.
Our students had a fantastic experience and for that alone we as a College community are very proud of all who were involved, both students and staff alike.

2nd Place in triple jump – Ben Cutler
Special thanks to Year 11 student Mia Walker, our internationally ranked hurdle champion, for her coaching of all our hurdlers. The results show the impact of her specialist coaching sessions.
