There But Not There

This November, the Infant & Junior School is supporting 'There But Not There', the centenary commemoration of the end of the First World War and tribute to the fallen.

Across the country 'There But Not There' aims to place a representative figure for every name on local war memorials back within their communities for Remembrance 2018.

An installation of 14 transparent seated military life-size figures has been placed in St John the Baptist's Church to commemorate the 14 men from the village of Aldford who lost their lives in the First World War, one of the transparent silhouettes has been donated by the Infant & Junior School.

Every year, pupils hold a Remembrance Service at St John the Baptist's Church where they are joined by family and members of the local community. It is always a very moving occasion and the school is proud to join the village in remembrance.
