Pupil to Represent Wales at Royal Windsor Horse Show

Year 9 pupil, Tara Davies has had the honour of being selected to represent Wales in the Pony Club Mounted Games.

Tara is one of only five young pony riders from across the country specially chosen for the Welsh Pony Club Mounted Games team.

Mounted Games, the inspiration of Prince Philip, is a branch of equestrian sport in which very fast games are played on ponies, requiring a high degree of athletic ability, good riding skills and determination.

In May, Tara will be competing in the DAKS Home International Mounted Games Championship at the UK's largest outdoor equestrian event, the Royal Windsor Horse Show against teams from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Tara said: "Riding for my country has been my goal for as long as I can remember. I am so excited to go and be part of it all."
