A Wonderful Performance by Pupils

At the end of November, 50 pupils across Years 7 to 13 trod the boards in Abbey Gate College’s annual production, with four performances of 'The Wizard of Oz'.

Alongside the cast, one of the stars of the show was Luther, a beautiful Yorkshire Terrier who played the role of Toto every evening!

The production was particularly special because it had been double cast, meaning two separate casts had the opportunity to perform on alternate evenings.

The performance saw pupils not only on stage, but working as lighting and sound technicians, stage managers and make-up artists.

Charlotte House, Head of Drama and Theatre, said: "We have been working hard since September to get ‘performance ready’. I am so proud of what we have achieved and feel very lucky to have so much talent in the school that we can have two casts."
