Young Enterprise Group Develop 'The Stable Cable'

"Young Enterprise is a charitable organisation that helps to engage young people by allowing them to create their own business. It looks to help develop key life skills, such as communication, teamwork and initiative.

"We are a team of 12 Lower Sixth students who run our own company “The Stable Cable”. Our product helps to keep home and work environments tidy by securing cables in a rubber grip, allowing the chargers to be taken out when required. It is multifunctional, so can also be used for a variety of other purposes such as hanging up cars keys, attaching toothbrushes to bathroom walls and making lamp switches easy to access.

"As of February 2017 we have sold a total of 127 and intend to get to a total of 200 sales before the first stage of the Young Enterprise competition on the 28th March. We have had a successful pitch at Skyes Cottages who have promised to place an order with us which is a huge success and fantastic feedback for when we present to the Young Enterprise judges. We have already had lots of happy customers:

“I have severe arthritis in my lower spine and struggle to bend down, so I bought 3 of The Stable Cables to hang/hold up things I need to access regularly but don't necessarily have somewhere to hang them.  I shall be buying more because they are fantastic and my Mum is now using mine!”

"If you wish to get in contact we can be found on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (@thestablecable) or visit our website www.thestablecable.co.uk."
