Year 7 pupils braved the elements and took to the College grounds to create some art.
Taking inspiration from David Hockney’s landscape paintings, they picked a viewpoint and set about making some carefully observed sketches of the College grounds. The pupils had to work quickly and carefully as the rain was threatening to start and before long the young artists were transferring their compositions onto large canvases. The plan had been to paint outside, just like Hockney, but torrential rain made this impossible.
The Year 7 pupils spent a busy afternoon adding colour to their work in the, thankfully, dry art rooms.
